| The Keith Richards One Woman Show |
|
November 4 - 7, 2010 Keith Richards' much anticipated autobiography has been released just days before Suitcase in Point (SIP) launches their newest creation, The Keith Richards One Woman Show, from November 4 - 7 at Mikado Lounge and Bar in downtown St. Catharines. Created by SIP Co-Artistic Directors Cole Lewis and Deanna Jones, this show collides fantasy, rock 'n' roll with a few wild surprises in its exploration of the the image, excess and inspiring endurance of the legendary co-founding member of the Rolling Stones. Deanna Jones, playing multiple characters and a few signature licks, will take audiences on a dream-like journey of Keith's life through the eyes of a young ambivalent woman. What happens to her when Keith enters her dreams and won't leave? Deanna Jones says, "This production was inspired by the bad boy image that Keith Richards lived by and acknowledges how honesty helps us find out who we really are." SIP is thrilled to have local artist and Stones enthusiast Kevin Richardson (a.k.a. Attic Daddy) collaborating on this project. He has contributed to the research process offering rare beta tapes, books and magazines along with a wealth of Rolling Stones knowledge and will be playing live during the show. Suitcase in Point has a reputation for bringing theatre to unique venues. After presenting their main productions at the Sullivan Mahoney Courthouse Theatre for the past 5 years, SIP is taking their newest collaborative creation to Mikado Lounge and Bar in Downtown St. Catharines. They thought Keith would feel right at home. November 4 - 7, 8pm Dinner and Theatre Packages available at The Office Tap & Grill, Pan Cafe and Strega Cafe. A choice of appetizer, main course, dessert and a ticket to the show, for only $35 per person. Click here to view the menu options.
