Description: Suitcase in Point would like to invite you and your imagination into the world of Groundwater. This new and innovative drama, written by company member Erin Shields, explores the consequences of our over-consumption. Enter the lives of Jeanne and Matilda, two girls facing a world that seems hopeless. Jeanne, a seventeen year old from the city who is distraught by her military-controlled civilization ridden with the HUS epidemic and the depletion of fresh water, discovers an underground lake. She keeps her sanctuary a secret and prepares for the arrival of family and friends. However, Matilda, a seventeen year old who comes from the Fringes, invades Jeanne’s space looking for food and water. Quickly Jeanne captures Matilda and the two begin to realize that there may be hope after all.
