Description:
Suitcase in Point, Niagara's favourite professional theatre company (2004-08) brings an exciting new series of theatre arts workshops. Thanks to the generous funding of the Ontario Arts Council, we are able to bring one professional artist to your school for an entire day to deliver exciting skill specific workshops in clown, collaborative scene development, script writing, music, design and more. Share a new theatre skill with your students and expose them to local, professional artists who are making their living in the arts in the Niagara Region. Youth Theatre Intensive This Spring!
Train. Create. Perform.
 Are you an aspiring musician, actor, writer?
Do you want to express yourself creatively?
Want to develop an exciting play and perform it for friends, family, and the St. Catharines community?
Suitcase in Point Theatre Company is looking for creative youth ages 13-18 to participate in an eight-week Youth Mentorship Program this spring! Learn about yourself, challenge yourself and work as part of a collective – while having an unforgettable time!
When: Every Tuesday & Thursday, after school – 5:30 - March 25- May 25 2008
Performance: May 25, 2008 at Folk Arts Festival Open House
Where: Folk Arts Centre, Church St, Downtown St. Catharines.

THE DEAL:
- Spend 8 weeks learning from and working with Suitcase in Point artists. Program includes actor training (movement, voice, writing, scene development), music composition for theatre, and collaborative play development. Create a performance with a like-minded group of people to share with friends, family and the St. Catharines community.
- Learn about the performing arts from a Suitcase in Point Artist mentor during free dinners every Thursday.
